| Biography / Administrative History | Marjorie (Goodison) Girvan was the daughter of John R. Goodison (1866-1926), Speaker of the House, who was the grandson of John Rorke (1807-1896). John R. Goodison's father was married to Elizabeth Ann Rorke, John Rorke's daughter. Marjorie married Melvin Girvan. Mary (Rorke) Archibald (1888-1952), daughter of James and Mary (Wilcox) Rorke, was born in 1888 at Carbonear. She was sister of James and John Rorke of the firm John Rorke & Sons, Ltd. She married Henry ''Harry'' Archibald of Harbour Grace in 1909. She died in 1952. |
