| Biography / Adminsitrative History | Dr. C.A. Forbes, son of Dr. R.E. Forbes and Elizabeth (Cowan) Forbes, was born December 8th, 1890. He married Irene (Matthews) Forbes (1887-1955), daughter of William and Julia (Sweetman) Matthews, in September, 1914. They had four children: Kathleen (born 1916), Vivian (born 1918), Clive (born 1921) and Lloyd (born 1924). Dr. Forbes died on January 11th, 1956, exactly one month after his wife passed away. Kathleen (Forbes) Deir (born 1916) married Jack Deir, a member of the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, June 11, 1936. They had three daughters: Barbara (born 1937), Judith (born 1942), and Cynthia (1943-1999), a son named John Alexander who was born December 21, 1938 and died February 1, 1939, and two other sons, Glenn and Wayne. Kathleen's daughter, Cynthia (Deir) Lanyon (born 1943) married Walter Lanyon and had two sons, Ronald and Richard Dawe. She died on April 5th, 1999. |
