For many residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, Bonfire Night is a tradition with very memorable early experiences with fire. Other fire related traditions of interest include things like blacksmithing, candle making, boil- ups, cooking and baking traditions, and the oral histories of volunteer and professional fire fighters. The Festival on Fire is HFNL's 2nd Annual Folklife Festival. For a complete listing of special events see www. festivalonfire. ca
