DescriptionRoot cellar in Bay Roberts discussed by Wilbur Sparkes. Built in late 1800s. Previously owned by used by Sparkes family to store vegetables. Stone foundation built into hillside. Ground level access with double door entrance. Wooden roof structure on top serves as storage area and is accessible from cellar interior. Exterior measures 8 m wide by 6.5 m deep, and is 2.9 m tall from ground at door to top of roof.
