built
c.
1890
by
Esau
Adams.
Esau
and
Naomi
Adams
built
the
cellar
and
original
home
in
front
of an
existing
cellar
which
has
since
be
removed.
It
was
originally
a
sod
cellar
with
entrance
at the
back
of the
mound.
The
shed
, or
top
house
, and
hatch
entrance
was
added
approximately
80-100
years
ago
(c.1920s).
The
cellar
and
property
was
taken
over
by
Esau
and
Naomi's
son
William
and his
wife
Elizabeth
,
followed
by
William's
son
Alfred
and his
wife
Shirley.
The
property
was
sold
to
current
owners
David
and
Cindy
Morrissey
in
2007.
The
cellar
was
last
used
by
Alfred
and
Shirley
Adams
to
store
vegetables
grown
in
gardens
adjacent
to
cellar
until
approximately
1990.
The
Morrisseys
have
plans
start
using
the
cellar
again
in the
near
future.
