DescriptionLooking out to sea, Aubrey Waterman thinks that squid are coming in, but Morley Coles says it is mackerel, which are coming in to shore feeding, which is uncommon. Some men in Joe Batt's Arm reportedly caught some mackerel the night before. Morley asks if they caught them on hooks, which they did. Aubrey says it has been eight or ten years since mackerel have been near the shore. Also present is Kathleen Power, Maureen's mother, heard in the background.
