DescriptionJohn Donahue discusses life in the past on Little Fogo Island (also known as Dear Little Island, the Star of the Sea). St. Anne's Church, still standing, was built 125 years ago. When Donahue was a boy, there were 24 families on the island and the school had four teachers. In the community of Garden Cove, people grew vegetables and hay; describes the severe gales that caused much damage to boats and stages.
