SummaryNewfoundlanders Remember Their Past is a 5 part television series that was created by Extension Service, Memorial University of Newfoundland for Memorial University Television to highlight some of the films and interviews done in the past through Extension Services. Episode 3 of this series shows the film, produced in 1979, The Indians Father Whitehead - a film on the life of Father Edward Joseph O'Brien (Father Whitehead to the First Nation people of Labrador) and his missionary work in Labrador. The film includes original footage filmed by Father O'Brien himself during his time in Labrador. As an introduction to the film Helen Woodrow interviews Charles Callanan, one of the creators of the film, about Father O'Brien and the film's creation.
