| Title | And now for something completely NIFCO - 04. The Pope Trilogy |
| Summary | Host John Doyle introduces three short films created by two brothers, Paul and Dave Pope. The films are loosely connected into a trilogy by association with the resettled community of Stone's Cove, on the South Coast of Newfoundland, the ancestral home of the Pope family. The ffirst film, Offstage Line, is shot in black and white, using a single actor and with no spoken dialogue. The second, Slipway, also black and white, makes greater use of visual imagery and is structured thematically. The third, Stone's Cove, combines historical images of Stone's Cove and its people as a thriving community with footage of the ruined vestiges left after resettlement. |
