Scope and Content of FondsThis fonds consists of a single document, a letter from an English teacher stationed in Burin, Newfoundland in 1815. All that is known about William Tulk appears in this letter to his family back in Poole, England. In it, he discusses the difficulties he encountered, the work he carried out and the people he met. It is obvious from his letter that he missed his home and family a great deal but considered - the work he was doing worth the sacrifice.
