DescriptionScale [ca. 1:675 000] (W 60°05'--W 48°00'/N 49°35'--N 46°10'). North arrow with rhumb lines, with variation notes on the map. Relief shown by hachures. Depths shown by soundings. Shows rocks, anchorages and seabottom features, with legend. Includes coastal view: High land of Cape Ray. Contains manuscript notes by W.E. Cormack, including his travels across Newfoundland in 1822, noting route, mineral resources, and geology on the west and south coasts. His handwritten legend has been transcribed and is found on Sheet 1 verso, as well as an illustration of the various folds and cuttings done to the map.
