DescriptionOne sheet of mottled violet paper, 22 x 28 cm. Title of poem is printed in title case, in pale violet. At the head, above the title, is an annulet, in red, containing a lotus flower, blocked partly in red, partly in relief (from the font 'Venus Flytrap Dingbats'). At the foot is a lozenge-shaped design (from the font 'Tragliatella') consisting of a cross with, in each of the four quarters it describes, a pattern of two concentric semicircles and a central node. Between the lotus and the title of the poem and between the poem and the lozenge are wavy rules of 6.4 cm and 3.6 cm. respectively. On the reverse is the colophon:¦'Only Over Another Horizon¦was written for and given to¦BARBARA¦CHRISTMAS 1998'¦. The first and third lines of the colophon are printed in pale violet; the second and fourth lines are printed in turquoise. The first and third lines are flanked with red fleurons. Beneath the fourth line is a larger fleuron, also in red. (Both fleurons are from the font 'Printer's Ornaments One'.) The colophon tapers line by line to form an inverted isosceles triangle, the shape echoed by that final fleuron.
