Description"Second edition with additional lilts" (title page verso). A collection of Newfoundland poems by Ena Constance Barrett, featuring such themes as the Great War, the beauty of Newfoundland's natural landscape, and family. The seasons are presented in order throughout the volume from Spring to Winter, including one poem on winter in her town of Curling (p. 34). In addition, in one particular poem (p. 20) Barrett makes an appeal for funds for a Bay of Islands war memorial.

About the AuthorEna Constance Barrett (1893-1967), born in England, already had published poetry by the time she married John A. Barret of Curling, Newfoundland, in 1920 and moved with him to the island.
