AbstractThis book is a historical review of the Province of Nova Scotia. The first section deals with the origins of the local population, such as the French settlements in Cape Breton, the New England migrations, and the Scottish and Irish settlements. The second section of this text deals predominantly with the establishment of organised religion in Nova Scotia, such as the Roman Catholics, Methodists, Protestants, and Baptists. The final section of this text deals with reminiscences of Nova Scotia, such as the racial elements of the community, province building, and famous soldiers from Nova Scotia. There are also a number of illustrations included in this book.
