This basket belonged to Thomas Murley and was used in the Bowater paper mill in Corner Brook from 1941 to 1971. He worked as a machine tender on the #7 machine.

The age of the basket is unknown, but Hanrahan believes it was constructed c1900. The basket was always referred to as "Aunt Laura's berry picking basket".
