 Woven mill lunch basket, Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society, Grand Falls-Windsor Baskets; A mill lunch basket donated to the Grand Falls-Windsor Heritage Society by Jim Bishop. Possibly created by the Peterboro Basket Co. of New Hampshire, c1920. Wood used is Appalachian white ash. This basket belonged to an "E. Bishop" of Grand Falls-Windsor. 22.5cmx19cmx37.5cm

These baskets are made in the Acadian spruce root-woven ribbed basket design and now belong to Mr. White's daughter, Jacqueline White Snook of Flat Bay.  Woven mill basket with Peterboro Basket Co., stamp and union sticker, Corner Brook Baskets; A woven mill basket made by the Peterboro Basket Co., date of construction unknown. This basket belonged to Art Brown who was born Dec. 14, 1912 and went to work in the mill at the age of 16. The basket was acquired in 1928.

 Woven mill lunch basket belonging to Terry Penney, Corner Brook Baskets; A woven mill lunch basket belonging to Terry Penney of Corner Brook. Penney worked in the mill and the basket was used from 1976 to the present. The creator and exact date of construction are unknown as this was handed down to Penney by a friend. The materials used are plywood and birch. The metal pieces on the handles are the copper bases from lightbulbs, hammered flat. The stickers on the basket came from the hospital, as Penney had to be taken there one day when he took sick at the mill. Penney's payroll number, "4615" is also marked on the basket. 20.5cmx17cmx30.5cm.

 Plywood lunch basket, Corner Brook Baskets; A mill lunch basket belonging to Bernard Keating which belonged to his father, Sylvester Keating, when he worked in the cement plant. The basket was used from the mid 1950s to the 1980s. Creator unknown, constructed in early 1950s. Materials used are plywood and metal for handles. The handles were most likely added later by Sylvester Keating, as he was a sheet metal worker. 22cmx17.2cmx32.4cm. Top view, handles down with lid closed.
