So by and by Mr. Dyke, the man (that) brought me up,his brother was in there when I went there, and he knew me. Why,because he missed me for two days...( and he had an idea what I was doin'. Told me the next day he knew I was up to something. He missed me: not out around for two days! Well I went up to my...my friend's (PLACE)... chum's,and I went in, and he was there; he come out doors. "Come in!" I went in,and I'm darned if his mother didn't get afraid o' me too! Even she knew who I was. She said, "Jim, OVER... [reverse] take off that!" she said. "I'm really afraid o' you!" Every place that I went in they was 'fraid,and finally we had to skip the houses where the children was to! Well I had the...the.....the sheepskin wi' part o' the wool taken off,not...not close - just enough now,about a half-growed...what we call a half-growed whisker well the half...half-growed wool on the sheep come down,and it come right down, you know like this.Did you ever see THE ALMANAC (?) with Dr.Chase('s son ?) OR CHASE ) Did you ever see Dr. CHASE'S (helmet?) You have,have you? He had..he had a long whisker you know,come right down and narrowed) right out to a peak when he come down here.
