The employment of several contractors on the same building was open tn so mmv obvious inconveniences that the Commissioners abandoned this mode Orf proceeding also, and the only other course left open for them to pursue, was the one la-** above suggested, namely, their becoming the purchaser* of every tiling required and contracting from time to time forthe performance of the labour onlv. •
