From Table Point to Point Riche over six thousand seals have been landed. They are very numerous, and at some places quite close to the shore. The S.B. Nimrod was spoken to off Point Riche on the 16th inst.,in A Good Spot of Seals. The schooner Caroline, with a full load, has been abandoned off Point Riche. The crew landed safely. No other vessels are reported. Weather still 6ne and spring-like. Everything indicates early fishing season. Lob- Bler packers preparing for operations. The queen Unwilling: to Accept Rosebery's Resignation —An Earthquake in Venice- Reichstag Rejects motion to Congratulate Bismarck On His Eightieth Birthday. Halifax, N.S., Mar. 25. The Queen is unwilling t© accept the resignation of Lord Rosebery. He still suffers from insomnia. A shock of earthquake has been felt at Venice. Tbe German Reichstag have rejected a motion to congratulate Prince Bismarck on his eightieth birthday. Emperor William telegraphed Bismarck his profound indignation for the action of the Reichstag. The President and Vice-President have resigned. Intense excitement prevails throughout Germany. i»i . Cape Race, This Evening. (Special to the Evening Telegram.) The schooner Jessie Ida passed west at 10 a.m. Wind N.W., fresh, and weather sne and clear. Bar. 29.70; ther. 42. HAD HER LEG BROKEN. Taken by Ambulance to the Hospital. A SERiois accident occurred on Saturday night on the Topsail Road. Mrs. Drew, a woman of advanced years, whose son is keeper of Hon. E. P. Morris' cottage, in driving to that place on Saturday night, was pitched hy accident to the ground. Yesterday afternoon the ambulance was sent for her, and she was conveyed to the general hospital for treatment.LOCAL OCCURRENCES. A Correction.—The sale of furniture to take place at Mr. Thomas's residence, 4 Freeh Water Road, should be Wednesday next, not Tuesday as advertised. Fuom Bonne Bay in Aid of the Orphans. — The Rev.
