If am nuisance is found on any premises, and the order to remove the same within twenty-four hours is not obeyed, the nuisance will be removed or abated by the sanitary authorities, and the expense of so doing w ill l>e recovered from the offender summarily. In view of the present danger from a visitation of cholera, it is hoped that the public will assist in carrying out these regulations without undue pressure D. W. ALL Householders In St. John's, are ** notified that, by Law, a substantial Ladder shall be fixed to the roof ot every Dwelling EloctM and kept in good repair, except when a regular access to the roof, from the inside, is provided, and such ladder shall be provided by the proprietor of such Dwelling House. And every proprietor of a Dwellin;: House who -ball" make default therein shall for every offence forfeit and pay a fine ot two dollars, to be ro covered with costs in a summary waj before any Stipendiary Justice for the Central District, and levied by warrant of distress and sale of the offenders goods and chattels, this law will be strictly enforced, and all offenders prosecuted who have not provided themselves with ladders within ten days from this date. 1).
