Abstract	This book is a collection of proverbs from China, Japan, Russia, Bengal, and several other Oriental countries. Sections of this book deal with chiefly moral proverbs, while others deal with those that have more of a religious message. Some examples are 'The Ant Teaches the Sluggard', 'The Body as a Clay House Crouched before a Moth', and 'Heavenly Treasures in Earthen Vessels'. Discussion on each of the proverbs and emblems is also included.
