| Abstract | This book is a collection of information on the State of Maine. Chapters include geographical, religious, and social information, as well as descriptions of the different types of wild and marine life that live in Maine. Each section of the book is devoted to a particular city or town in Maine, including Auburn, Danville, Portland, Bangor, as well as information on the different counties. Some historical information on the State of Maine is also included, such as the battle of Lexington. Agriculture was a large part of rural life in Maine, and so several sections of this text are devoted to agricultural facts. |
