Introduction
Digital Collections at Cape Breton University are a collaborative initiative involving various units on campus, including the Beaton Institute, The Center for Cape Breton Studies, The Mi'kmaq College Institute, and the CBU Library. Collections are chosen for their cultural importance, preservation imperative, and/or need for exposure to a wider audience. Collections may include documents, photographs, audio and video, and every attempt is made to maintain the highest preservation and descriptive standards wherever possible.
Our current collections include:
- Material Culture Review (Journal backfiles)
- Ethnocultural Resources Inventory
- Dr. Thomas J. Khattar Collection
- Nova Scotia Historical Newspaper Project
